Prime Portico

About domains

Prime Portico is the first door into the areas of life you manage. It is not a morning prayer app and not a full project-management suite. It is a clear place for domains, responsibilities, and tasks — so you can see what you own and what needs to get done.

Why “kingdom / domain”?

Many of us juggle spheres that don’t fit in one work todo list: a job, a household, a church role, an HOA board, a side project. Portico treats each sphere as a domain — an area you steward.

“Kingdom” here means the whole field of life under your care, not a theology course and not a political program. If the word feels heavy, think areas of responsibility. Day-to-day we lead with “domains.”

The three building blocks

Domain
 ├── Responsibility (ongoing ownership)
 │ └── Task (finishable work)
└── Task (finishable work without a responsibility)
Building block Question Example
Domain Where am I responsible? HOA · Work · Home · Church
Responsibility What am I on the hook for ongoing? Treasurer · School liaison · Client: Acme
Task What can I complete next? File Q3 report · Call the vendor

Important: Checking off a task never “finishes” a responsibility. Responsibilities stay until you pause or archive them. Tasks come and go under them.

How to start

  1. Create a few domains (even two is enough: Work and Home).
  2. Under each, list responsibilities you already carry.
  3. Add tasks that are actually due — especially this week.
  4. Use Today to see overdue and due-today items across every domain.

You do not need a perfect org chart. Start messy; refine names later.

Example

Domain: HOA

  • Responsibility: Treasurer — Task: Reconcile July statements; Task: File Q3 dues report
  • Responsibility: Landscape liaison — Task: Walk property with vendor Saturday
  • Task (no responsibility): Reply to neighbor about parking

Domain: Church

  • Responsibility: Deacon on call — Task: Visit shut-in list week 1

What Portico is not

Coming later (maybe)

Recurring tasks, lightweight people/contacts per domain, calendar views, starter templates (“New HOA domain”), and deep links into other apps. These are optional; the three building blocks stay the same.
